FAQ

  • I downloaded the app and the app store says it's installed, but I can't find the icon.

This is not an app problem, and sometimes happens with certain devices.  Power down your device and then power it back up.  The app icon should now be visible.

  • Can additional content sources be added?

Yes.  Send an email to support@egloballearning.com with the content you think should be included, with a reason why, and it will be considered for addition.

  • Can I disable individual content sources?

Individual content sources may be enabled or disabled.  In the iOS version this is in the Settings app.  Touch Settings and scroll down to the Diversity Now entry.  Click on this and select which of the content sources you want to receive.

  • Which mobile devices are supported?

The iOS version is universal and will run on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad running iOS 4.2 or later.

  • How do I share the content on Facebook, Twitter or by email?

On the page you want to share, press the share button, then select email, Twitter or Facebook. You can also comment on or "Like" any of the content, and this wll be visible to all other viewers of the same page.  In this way, you can engage in an ongoing debate about the content from within the application.

  • I authorized posting my comments to Facebook or Twitter, but now I want to change that preference.  How can I do it?

Select one of your comments, then touch your profile picture.  Choose the "Settings" button in the top right corner of the next screen.  You can then adjust your profile however you wish, including deselecting "Post to Facebook" or "Post to Twitter".

  • Loading seems to take a long time.

All of the content is loaded at startup, and the time taken will depend on the speed of your internet connection and the bandwidth provided by each server.  Sometimes one or more of those servers may be slow - you can usually identify which ones, since their content pages will also be slow to load.  You can speed up loading by deselecting those feeds from the preference pane - you will also lose access to their content however.
